Accelerate’s comprehensive lessons and personalized advisory support develops or enhances career preparedness skills.​

ELEVATE
Grant Program
Mothers who have completed Accelerate lessons can take the next step toward advancing their careers and achieving financial independence. Eligible participants work with our team to apply for a grant of up to $10,000, which can be used for approved expenses.

Application Deadlines and Award Disbursement Dates
Application Deadlines:
March 1, June 1, September 1, December 1
Award Distribution Dates:
April 1, July 1, October 1, December 31

Grant Eligibility:
​
-
18 or older, identifies as female and a mother
-
Annual income less than $64,000
-
Has secure housing
-
Resides in the greater Atlanta, GA area
-
​Eligible counties include: Butts, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Paulding, Rockdale.

Holds at least a high school diploma or GED
-
US citizen proficient in English
-
Not actively enrolled in a wellness program
-
Complete 3 or more Accelerate lessons (must include budgeting and personal finance lesson), apply for up to $4,000
-
Complete all 6 Accelerate lessons, apply for up
to $10,000

Application Process:

Eligible mothers can apply to receive up to $10,000 in total funding if all 6 Accelerate lessons are completed or up to $4,000 after completing three lessons. One of the three lessons must be Lesson 2: Budgeting and Personal Finance.

Completing Accelerate lessons is a significant milestone, but it does not guarantee Elevate funding.

The following is a list of approved expenditures. This list is not exhaustive. The KPF staff can approve additional expenditures that they feel are acceptable.

Education (tuition, fees, books, school supplies related to career advancement or education)

Childcare expenses
-
Transportation costs for commuting (related to career advancement or education)

Technology such as a laptop or software
-
Tools and resources specific to your career

Business startup expenses
